Letter to Bundeskanzler

Bundeskanzler

Vienna, 26.8.2009

Dear Bundeskanzler,

As you can see from the enclosed report on Prof. Beger, health authority civil servants attempted to prevent the announcement of the results of therapy carried out in clinical studies with Ukrain – please see "Facts".

False statements were made by health authority civil servants in answer to enquiries about Ukrain from foreign doctors and patients – please see "Facts".

I was not able to buy the starting substances for the production of Ukrain directly but only via third parties – please see "Facts".

When I notified the authorities at which companies I had Ukrain produced they were forced to distance themselves from me – please see "Facts".

I was also not granted permission to import the preparation for patients who had exhausted all other forms of therapy – please see "Facts".

The authorities disregarded proof of the efficacy of the preparation from 200 scientists.

Proof that the preparation is no danger to health was ignored, even when it was provided by renowned Austrian companies such as Seibersdorf and carried out according to GLP (Good Laboratory Practice).
Reports on the efficacy, safety and quality of the preparation by six expert witnesses was also ignored.

In order to be able to reject the application for approval of Ukrain the authorities took the unusual step of calling on two other expert witnesses for whom it was not important that the preparation is effective and more than 300 times less toxic than its starting substances.

It is grotesque that this rejection was based on the fact that I submitted no structural formula for the Ukrain complex. Every chemist knows that it is impossible to draw up a structural formula for a complex. This demand therefore contradicts all reason.

Irrespective of which documentation I have submitted and which arguments I have put forward, everything has been rejected.

Dear Bundeskanzler, if the Austrian government is not interested in a medicament that helps patients who have exhausted all other forms of therapy and can also save the lives of some of them, then please inform me clearly and precisely. Then I would stop banging my head against a brick wall. However, if the government is interested, I ask you to have the enclosed facts checked by the Procurator General and the Public Prosecutor's Department.

Because this is a matter of public interest, I take the liberty of publishing this letter and your much-appreciated reply on the internet.

Best regards,
Dr. Wassil Nowicky
